Contribution Guidelines

1 File Requirements

• Primary format: Native .blend file (Blender 4.x)
• Optional exports: FBX, OBJ, GLB, STL (for printables)
• Max file size: 2 GB per upload
• Textures: Pack into the .blend or include as a ZIP alongside
• All files must be free of external dependencies that break on import

2 Quality Standards

• Topology: Clean, manifold geometry. No n-gons larger than 6 verts on visible surfaces
• UVs: Unwrapped with no overlapping islands (for textured assets)
• Poly budget: Game-ready assets under 50k tris; high-poly no limit
• Materials: Principled BSDF with properly named socket connections
• Organization: Objects named descriptively, collections used for grouping

3 Presentation

• Thumbnail: 1200×900 px, well-lit render showing the asset at its best angle
• Preview images: 3–8 renders from different angles, plus a turntable if possible
• Title: Descriptive and specific (e.g., "Rusty Industrial Pipe Set (12 variants)" not "Pipes")
• Description: What's included, material count, poly count, license notes
• Tags: Use relevant tags from the suggestions; don't spam unrelated keywords

4 Licensing

You choose the license for each asset. Options include:

• CC0 / Public Domain – anyone can use it for anything, no attribution
• CC BY 4.0 – free use with attribution
• Custom / Pro – your own terms (e.g., personal use free, commercial requires Pro plan)

You must own all rights to the content or have explicit permission from the rights holder.

5 What We Reject

• Uncredited work from other artists or paid marketplaces
• Assets with malware, scripts that modify the user's system, or obfuscated code
• Infringing content (trademarks, copyrighted characters, ripped game assets)
• Low-effort uploads with no thumbnail, no description, or broken files
